The second belly shot

It seems that there's been a few complaints regarding our lack of discipline with the weekly belly shots. Humble apologies... here's the seventeen week and four days shot!

Since we've just spent the weekend in Paris (Flo organised a surprise weekend away for my birthday), then I can't honestly say whether the bloated belly is a result of baby growth or the over enthusiastic sampling of the wonderful Parisian cuisine!

You can just about make out the Arc de Triomphe in the background of the photo above, which we risked life and limb to stand in the middle of the Champs Elysees to take! The hotel Flo organised was perfectly located within a stones through of the famous arch, right next to the flagship Louis Voitton store. But I'm sure that was just a coincidence.

I have no more business trips planned so should be a bit more reliable with the weekly updates from now on!

Rose feelings

"A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses," goes an anonymous saying.

Jonny gave me the most gorgeous bunch of long stemmed red roses on Valentine's day. Stems so long in fact, like length was going out of fashion.

Not only do they smell sweet and make a lovely sight on our table, I love the meaning they carry. They are the definitive symbol for romantic sentiments, representing true love, stronger than thorns. How beautiful is that!

Home alone

Of course I don't normally eat on the sofa. And of course I don't let our cats lick our empty plates. But with Jonny away on business and being home alone, I let my otherwise very high standards slip a little...

Apparently tomato ketchup is really good for you, it contains lots of lycopene. Boris liked it too.

First Belly Shot

We've managed to resist for fourteen weeks, but we've finally succumbed to the mounting pressure and taken the first picture of Flo's belly.

There's not an awful lot to see just yet, but she's undoubtedly beginning to show and getting excited about having to purchase some new clothes! You can see from the picture that the elasticated waist bands are already starting to make an appearance.

We'll try and make the belly shot a weekly event from now on...
