The midwife asked me this afternoon what I was still doing there. I thought that was a rhetorical question.
She gave me a membrane sweep. While internally examining me, she "sweeped" a finger around the neck of my womb. This is as unpleasant as it sounds.... The aim is to separate the membranes around the baby from the cervix. This releases hormones called prostaglandins, which may kick-start labour.
Or it may not. None of the other very good suggestions have kick-started anything so far. So we wait and keep you all waiting too! :-)

Good luck!
The baby will have to come out eventually :)...but by now even I am very very impatient....can't even imagine how you are feeling....hope you are feeling some big fat contractions right now. Lot's of love and good luck AGAIN!
ugh, I bet you are good and ready now. Let's hope that unpleasant experience leads to real action down there.
